Acoustic Guitar Lessons

Even though I originally started playing the the acoustic guitar more than ten years ago I still felt that I could benefit from acoustic guitar lessons.  You see, like so many other people out there I found myself with very little time to practice playing and so with time my skills continually declined until I couldn’t play much at all.

Now, if you are anything like me or if you are just starting to play I want to show you the acoustic guitar lessons site that helped me teach me everything I needed to be able to play the guitar like a pro all over again.

So, like I already mentioned I actually started playing the acoustic guitar about ten years ago but I stopped playing around the time I was 23 or 24.  This was because I was recently married and had a new baby that I devoted all of my time to.  I never planned to stop playing music but it just sorta happened.  Then about six months or so ago I changed jobs and suddenly found myself with a whole lot more free time and decided to start playing again.

The Problem?

After such a long off period I really had no idea where to start.  I did know however that there was no way I was going to be able to practice hours on end like I had done to become a self taught player.  This time I decided that I was going to take some kind of acoustic guitar lessons.  The thing was though; traditional guitar lessons are expensive and not convenient at all so I decided I wanted to take online acoustic guitar lessons.

There are quite a few sites on the internet that promise to teach you to play the acoustic guitar so it took me a few weeks before I had decided on the two I wanted to try.  The first one was so so but really didn’t do much to teach me to play.  It was more about musical theory and not very hands on at all.  The second site however was exactly what I was looking for.

So What Happened?

After purchasing Jamorama the first thing I did was download all the content available for download.  Even though I had some experience I felt the best way to learn was to start at the beginning so that is what I did.  My first acoustic guitar lessons consisted of more than 20 videos teaching various guitar chords and scales; exactly the stuff I needed to be learning.  These are, after all, the foundation of any good guitar player.

After I finished with the beginner section I moved right into the acoustic guitar lessons module.  That was the great thing about Jamorama.  It covers both acoustic guitars and electric so if you want to learn both you are covered or if you just want to learn one then you can always go back later if you change your mind.  And these are not just so book you are reading either.  The lessons are presented in video format so that you can see exactly where you should position your hand etc.

Final Result

Well, the end result was exactly what I had hoped for.  After just a few shorts weeks of Jamorama’s acoustic guitar lessons I was falling right back into my old groove and am happy to report that I have a couple dozen songs solidly under my belt.  There just isn’t anything like being able to bust out the ole guitar and play a tune for friends and family.  If you are serious about wanting to learn to play the acoustic guitar then I highly recommend you Click Here to check out Jamorama.

Acoustic Guitar Lessons – 3 Tips to Get You Started

Many beginner guitar players make the mistake of expecting too much too soon and they become discouraged when they don’t see the result they are expecting.  The truth is learning the acoustic guitar on your own can take quite a long time but there are ways to shortcut the learning curve with the right acoustic guitar lessons.

Time to Begin Your Acoustic Guitar Lessons

The first thing you want to do when you begin your acoustic guitar lessons is work on learning a few scales.  Now, don’t panic as this is far easier than you probably would imagine.  Many of those really tricky riffs you hear in guitar music are really just scales played at high speeds but if you take them slow they are easy to learn and feel natural to play.

After you have a few acoustic guitar scales under your belt the next logical step is to start working on learning different guitar chords.  There are many different chords and some are tougher than others so I always recommend starting with what are commonly known as power chords.  I will go into greater details on guitar chords in another section of this site.

Once you have mastered these first two steps of your acoustic guitar lessons you can start working on your strumming patterns.  Many people don’t realize that the the direction and way you strum an acoustic guitar can change your sound dramatically.  A simple down stroke will produce one sound while an up stroke will produce a different one.

So to wrap things up; the best things to work on at the start of your acoustic guitar lessons are 1) Guitar Scales 2) Guitar Chords and 3) Your Strumming Pattern.  I encourage you to explore the rest of this site to learn more about each of these topics and to accelerate your learning process.

Welcome to Acoustic Guitar Lessons Free Dot Com

Hello everyone, I’m James,

First off let me say thank you for stopping by my Acoustic Guitar Lessons site.  I’ve been playing on and off for over ten years and wanted to share some of my experience with you so that you can take the fast track to learning to play the guitar.  Not everyone is able to be self taught or to learn by ear and so that is where this site will help bridge the gap but at the same time it won’t require you to run out and pay several hundred or even several thousand dollars for acoustic guitar lessons.

With practice and patience anyone can learn to play the acoustic guitar or electric guitar for that matter.  I am a big fan of both but I think if you learn acoustic guitar first you’ll be able to make the transition to electric easier than if you went the other way around.

I hope that you will take the time to bookmark this site and maybe even tell a friend or two but for now I just wanted to welcome you to my site on Acoustic Guitar Lessons.
